  • Personal branding: how to maintain authenticity?
8 November 2022
Vilnius, Amres Art Gallery

The Egle’s Crown Club brings together women leaders. One of its inspirations, the archaeomytologist Marija Gimbutienė, has spoken about (re)creating leadership, so we will try to find its nascent forms in the Club. In the first meeting we talked, played and reflected on personal branding - how to maintain our authenticity, how authentic self-presentation is important for us and for the environment. We listened to a discussion with personal branding expert Dr Dominyka Venciūtė, career development manager Džiuginta Gruodienė, image designer Olesė Kekienė and marketing expert Ornela Ramašauskaitė.

Insights

- Personal branding is a feeling about a person and/or the brand they create.

- By creating an authentic self-image, by sharing knowledge, we transmit ourselves, our experiences, raise the collective quality of the whole and inspire other people.

- A strong, authentic personal brand can be created without the help of social networks.

- The biggest fears in personal branding (consciously or not) are the fear of making mistakes and the fear of being rejected.

- Creating an authentic brand is more often than not about adding than subtracting, stripping away what is unnecessary and fake.
