About Egle's Crown Club

The Club's ambition is to discover and activate new expressions of natural culture in today's culture, business and education and thus strengthen ourselves and our identity. The club is for active women who feel they can do more, who take meaningful activities and are looking for new intuitive ways of acting. It is an intellectual space for intellectual renewal, new and deeper connections and co-creation. Recognising the phenomena of our own culture, we will be able to explore them more deeply in other cultures. We bring in guest speakers, thought leaders, invite to participate in embodiment games, co-creation activities and discuss, reflect.

The origins of the idea

The idea of founding the Egle‘s Crown Club was born after the multi-dimensional, experiential event "Changing the Epic“: The Mystery of the Egle‘s Crown", which took place at the Smoke Factory in 2022.

The documentary mystery created by Rasa Baltė Balčiūnienė, the founder of the HAI Institute, was based on the Lithuanian epic "Egle the Serpent's Queen", and by analysing it, we sought to find out what culture, society, and attitudes to men and women are represented by this tale?

Does it still influence us? And how does this fairy tale relate to the discoveries of the archeomythologist Marija Gimbutienė, who is really changing the perception of the origins of her country and culture.

The creation of the documentary mystery opened up many unexpected layers and realisations that the discoveries made by Gimbutiene affect us and our choices to this day, a feeling that, especially today, there is a need for intuitiveness in active women. It is through her and her action that new meanings and conditions for the growth of humanity will be found. Another continuation of the documentary mystery is the documentary film "Marija Gimbutienė: An Inner Sense of the Future".

We feel that M. Gimbutiene's research can become a source of inspiration in this increasingly accelerating digitalization, artificial intelligence breakthroughs, when more and more people are rethinking their values and looking at humanity. In Lithuania's vision of the future (State Progress Strategy) "Lithuania 2050" identifies that the foundation of our identity is culture. We invite you to explore our natural culture together and look for contemporary expressions, create links between our roots and modernity.

Thematic areas

In the first season, we acted very intuitively, organising 5 events with professionals from different fields. In the first discussion we invited personal branding expert Dr. Dominyka Venciūtė, career development manager Džiuginta Gruodienė, image designer Olesė Kekienė, marketing expert Ornelė Ramašauskaitė, and in others we listened and reflected together with philosopher Dr. Kęstas Kirtiklis, style archetypes researcher Darius Radkevičius, professional storyteller Milda Varnauskaite and Julija Janus, a designer, practitioner of placemaking. Event reflections were moderated by Rasa Baltė Balčiūnienė. After these events, we developed the first follow-up directions of the club's research, in which we aim to find innovative ways of working:

Placemaking.  A practical approach that inspires people to re-imagine their environments and transform everyday spaces into community hubs, creating ecosystem connections. The placemaking approach is not only about creating environments, but it is also about place branding, about an image that attracts investors  and shareholders to the space.

The art of storytelling. The art of storytelling is perceived by many as an entertainment format, but in fact, its cultivation can be a useful tool for developing new communication, personal reflection and self-expression, helping to create connections and learn from each other.

Authentic personal branding. We all represent ourselves in a variety of ways - through our activities, our image, our social media posts, photos. Personal branding is not just about communication, it's about lifestyle, and exploration how to do this in an authentic, purposeful way, showing new, distinctive ways of living, doing, thinking?

Inherent culture. The concept of natural culture identifies the inherent cultural origins, its local origin. It covers the wholeness of the cultural totality. It also eliminates the opposition between the past and the present, between heritage and contemporary culture.

In our second season, we will continue exploring the directions we have begun, inviting interesting speakers, thought leaders in our meetins and sharing our experiences, reflecting together. In co-creation, the interaction between people creates living knowledge and new intuitive ways of doing things that are important for the present and the future. This is a particularly favourable environment for intellectual renewal.

Together with active, interesting women, who are already looking for new meanings in their own activities, we will strengthen our understanding of what is specific to us as a culture, as a nation, and how we can express it in our activities, in our businesses, in our societies, but also by affirming our own identities, to make ourselves not only locally interesting, but also globally.
